Statistic:-
- Stat + istics = Status or condition + Study
So,
Statistic is defined as the study of status or condition by numerical data.
OR
Statistic is the branch of mathematics that deals with collection, organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation of numerical data (Raw data) to help in the making more effective decisions.
Biostatistic:-
- Bio + statistic = Related to living organism or medical field + Study of data related to any condition.
So,
Biostatistics is defined as the branch of stastistics that focus on the application of statistical methods to biological and health related data.
Ex:- In clinical trials, public health survillance environmental studies, birth and mortality rate etc.
Research Methodology :-
- Research + Methodology = Investigation or study + Systematic approach or freamework
So,
Research Methodology is defined as systematic approach or framework which used to conduct research studies.
It includes the overall strategy for planning executing and evaluating research projects.
