1) Co- Precipitation :-

i)    The rate of coprecipitation is always greater than the rate of post precipitation.

ii)   In coprecipitation, two or more ions get together and form an insoluble compound.

iii)  Coprecipitation is a reversible process.

iv)  The contamination degree is higher in coprecipitation.

v)   The rate of diffusion is high in coprecipitation.

1) Post- Precipitation :-

i)    The rate of post precipitation is always lower than the rate ofcoprecipitation.

ii)    In post precipitation only one ion is involved.

iii)  Post precipitation is an irreversible process.

iv)  The contamination degree is lower in post precipitation.

v)   The rate of diffusion is low in post precipitation.
